Wheels Driving Academy
EDUCATING OUR STUDENTS TO BE SAFE AND COURTEOUS DRIVERS
We look forward to having you join us for your comprehensive classroom and behind the wheel instruction
Wheels Driving Academy services Big Lake, Elk River, Zimmerman, and Princeton. St. Cloud Driving School has now joined our team here at Wheels and services the St. Cloud area. Wheels Driving Academy utilizes a training curriculum approved by the MN Department of Public Safety. Our lessons are designed to inform our students of safety guidelines, defensive driving techniques, and rules/regulations that will affect them as drivers. Wheels Driving Academy lessons also cover state-specific laws, accident avoidance, basic vehicle maintenance, and driver impairments like drugs and alcohol. We help our students navigate their way through Minnesota's specific procedures for obtaining both their permit and their license.
Wheels Driving Academy provides a comprehensive instruction program that consists of 10 days of 3 hour classes (for a total of 30 required classroom instruction hours) and also the required 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Our classroom program is designed to keep the students actively engaged and participating in their driving education. We do this with a combination of presentations, games, worksheets, videos, and also bring in guest speakers from MNDOT, MADD, and local law enforcement (as available). In addition, we save a portion of one night of classroom instruction for Parent Night. We believe strongly that active guidance from a parent/guardian throughout the driver's education experience will only help the student become a better, safer, more responsible driver. Our behind the wheel instructors are licensed by the State of Minnesota and have years of experience. They truly enjoy teaching our students their knowledge of driving and preparing them to become responsible, licensed drivers.
